Motivation Letter Fulbright Essay Example For Students

Motivation Letter Fulbright Essay My name is XYZ. I am 23 years old and have graduated from the Industrial Engineering Department of the AAA Institute of Technology (YYY). Spending four years of eminence academic period at YYY has given me so many experiences in many aspects which have built both of my hard and soft skills. I was actively involved in organisations like the student union (Industrial Engineering Student Union) and in the research laboratory community (Laboratory of Innovation and Organisational Design). During this time, a lot of my colleagues gave me feedback that I have profound qualities in leadership and interpersonal skills, as I have no difficulties getting along with new people and I am also frequently appointed as the person in charge when taking part in the organisation of events. The four years spent at the university also gave me competence and personal interest in the Industrial Engineering field. Thus, it drives me to learn more about the knowledge on a higher level, which is the master degree. When talking about the Industrial Engineering higher studies, there are certain specialisation topics that I am particularly interested in, which is the design management (innovation, design, engineering). I believe that the successful outcome of the study will result in the building of supportive thoughts in the development of better industries’ performance and sustainability. Speaking widely, the better industries even can later influence the better economy in a country. The way I see it, the issue of sustainability is now equally important when compared with current studies, particularly in Indonesia which emphasizes more on Industries’ optimal and efficient production process solely. Therefore, in Indonesia, it can be said that there are not many studies related that are able to be found today. Hopefully when I gain the knowledge I can share it through my best contribution to catalyst Indonesia as an emerging industrial country. When I finish taking the master degree on the mentioned field, I project myself to continue my studies on the doctoral level, so that I will have the opportunity to conduct further research into related topics, in addition I have also informally engaged in becoming an academia in YYY. I will develop the knowledge obtained in the institution under the Industrial Engineering Department and I also would like to arrange collaboration between academia and industries, particularly in Indonesia to improve their performance and sustainability. Being a lecturer would be an ideal position for me to contribute myself to the country as well as having the chance to share my knowledge to the next generations. I am fortunate to know that such topics turn out to be offered by some universities in the USA thus it motivates me to spend years of study there. The USA is also known to have vanguard studies in the field of Industrial Engineering and it has been referenced by many academic experts in Indonesia, including the lecturers at YYY. Moreover, I think no one would hesitate to enter into the US academic system. The other reason why I want to study in The USA is that spending years in the country can bridge a network among international students, which can give me the chance to keep a strong relationship with them, then later co-operate with each other and give contributions to our surroundings. Besides, I am also interested in learning more about American culture and promote the Indonesian culture as well. What motivates me to have all the plans is always having dreamed of being a global citizen who not only gives contributions to my own country but also to the bigger scope. To conclude, I have had enough time to obtain the basic and fundamental acadaemic knowledge and also arrange my life path plans after spending 23 years in Indonesia. Now having the chance to take the master study in The USA is wide open. Having strong motivation, vision and capability, makes me believe that I would be one of the right candidates to be chosen on the Aminef-Fulbright 2010 Program, then it would be the time for me to have the journey and make all of my dreams come true.

Online Sales Tools essays

Online Sales Tools essays Norvergence Online Sales Tools CIS/319 Computers Being in sales out on the road and working from home there is not much exposure to the development of new systems. However being the end user of an operations system which is used to view weekly schedules and complete proposals the sales person is able to give a perspective on this system. The proposal portion is a is a structured system that configures pricing based on the inputs which are taken from a prospects current billing for telecomm services and a profit analysis to come up with the proposed price of services. The control is attained by submitting the proposal with the prospects billing information to check that the sales person understood and inputted the billing information correctly. Also a call is made to the prospect to review the information for a second time. The second part of this system is the ability to view a weekly schedule online. The sales persons schedule mostly consists of appointments made by the inside sales team. So any misinformation can lead to lost time and lost prospects. There is currently a lack of controls in place which is causing these problems to occur for the sales person. The problems that derive from lack of controls are inefficiency and loss of prospects both frustrating and costly. Prior to the system being in place, if there was a change in the schedule, either a cancelled appointment or an added appointment the sales person would receive an email and a phone call on their cell phone to be notified of the change whether the change was effecting the next hour or the next week. Now the system is relied on to notify the sales person by viewing the schedule on line. There are two problems with this. One the schedule does not update real time, so if the sales perso ...

MGMT4420 Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 2000 words

MGMT4420 - Essay Example some instances where an employee is very valuable to the company, the question might be, â€Å"So have you really made up your mind, are you really resigning?† There are many questions that the human resource personnel would like to ask the resigning employee and most of them are in line with the work experiences of the latter. This definitely will help the company evaluate some important reasons why an employee is resigning. At some point, this may also help the company realize some important points or adjustments that it needs to implement in order to retain its most valuable personnel. Contrary to a job interview, traditional exit interview is like a formal process of ending one’s responsibility with his or her employer. I remember, there were series of questions that were presented by the authorized personnel of the human resource without even knowing that it was already an actual exit interview. It was not conducted at the last day of my employment, but I still consider it as a form of traditional exit interview because the goal was purely for the benefit of the entire company. There was a specific attempt to hold my employment with them through a personal question from my boss which sounded like, â€Å"Would you be willing to leave your friend in this company and would you allow us to loss a valuable person like you?†. That certainly struck my emotion and I must admit it was because of a certain pride in me that I felt at that time upon knowing the fact from them that I was one of the assets of the company. I believe that at some point, the traditional exit interview is perfect opportunity for the company to hold back its very important employees. However, I believe everyone has the freedom to move out from an employment in the same way there was freedom in moving in. I think there must be something wrong with the traditional exit interview especially that it is usually conducted at the last day of employment. A person’s emotion might be mixed up with

Gods and Humans Assignment Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words

Gods and Humans - Assignment Example Part of the reason both Oedipus and Antigone are considered to be classic works is that they feature characters who are larger than life and whose deeds are truly remarkable. Even centuries and millennium later the human and divine figures featured in these stories astonish us with their extreme and powerful qualities. We can marvel at these classical figures but we can also examine the different ways they interact with one another and the sorts of relationships they have with one another, plus the different ways Sophocles portrays them. Surely this interplay is one of the reasons these figures continue to resonate in our modern days and continue to excite us so much. The conflict between the world and laws of humans and those of gods is one that is truly timeless. In both quoted passages, the laws of the gods and the laws of human beings are examined and discussed. There are two clearly different principles at play. In both works the human heroes are at odds with the political system which is trying to subjugate them. In both cases, the heroes stand up for what they believe. They are willing to obey a higher law, a higher order which is in conflict with the human law before them. They do not recognize the arbitrarily exercised power of the regent. They operate under a different, more powerful law which they think is more objective, or more fair. Oedipus serves Apollo. Although he is blind he is capable of seeing that real life, full of human laws, is corrupt and false. The higher world of gods and forms is truer and more just. His blindness is perhaps something of an asset as it separates him somewhat from the human world and allows him to imagine or perceive of a more just world where the law of gods such as Apollo dominate. In Antigone much the same idea is presented. Antigone also must deal with Creon and the law of the human system. â€Å"[M]y reverence only brands me for irreverence!† she exclaims, weeping at the injustice of it. She has obeyed the religious ritual of burying her dead brother at the expense of the human law forbidding her to do so. That is why she is being punished. For her, obeying the gods is more important than obeying the king. And that is why she is willing to endure her punishment even if it is unjust in the human world.
